MINA BAIE IS THE DIAPER BAG COMPANY FOR MOMS WHO HATE DIAPER BAGS.
Your life may be overrun by diapers and teddy bears when you become a mom, but you can have a bag that looks great with any outfit, and still does everything you need it to do.
In the fall of 2001, Jenna Sa Freire and Gia McFerran met in freshman biology class and quickly bonded over their mutual love of coffee, Simon and Garfunkel, and ditching class. After high school, they backpacked through Europe twice, and on long train rides they daydreamed about one day starting a business together. Gia dabbled in garment design and taught herself to sew on her mother’s old sewing machine, while Jenna earned her business degree. She also worked in handbag sales at Nordstrom, where her lifelong penchant for luxury bags blossomed into what some would call an obsession.
When Gia had her daughter, Wilhelmina, she and Jenna teamed up to find a diaper bag that was durable, spacious enough for cloth diapering, and most importantly didn’t look like a diaper bag. Finding the options surprisingly limited, they did the only logical thing: designed their own!
